“The history of my homestead, "Svajų skrynia" began in this place. My brother and I played childhood games here. In this barn, my grandparents raised their animals, despite living in town. They maintained a rural lifestyle even within the urban setting. Therefore, when we moved to Vilnius, I deeply missed the sea, the forest, and our rural homestead. We recommend wearing comfortable, non-slip-soled shoes to climb Ras Mohamed Rock. The activity is of moderate difficulty, and you will have to climb both a cobbled path and a staircase in order to get to the telescopic viewing platform. We would not recommend that people with mobility problems or problems with walking climb the cliff.

Ras Mohamed is a rock rising 37 m above sea level, connecting the Gulfs of Suez and Aqaba with the Red Sea. A rock is a raised rock formation composed of limestone filled with fossilized coral. Stopping at the mangrove forest, the activity is also light, as it is possible to approach the trees and examine the leaves from both sides, where one side is green and the other is saturated with salt and white colors. It is also possible to walk to the shore and observe crabs, but it's important not to step on the sand to avoid breaking mangrove saplings and damaging crab habitats and burrows. Time for photos and videos, both children and adults can easily navigate the area. The location is only slightly hilly.

Avicennia marina. Mangroves grow in tropical and subtropical regions, ocean coasts and river estuaries. There are 28 on Egypt's Red Sea coast and islands mangrove plantations covering an area of ​​about 500 hectares. 5 of them are located in the protected areas of Ras Mohamed and Nabq.

Mangrove trees release 10 times more oxygen than any other tree in the world. A small seed, having entered the soil and received fresh water, begins to germinate. Germinates slowly, only one leaf or twig per year. Eventually dense bushes and later mangrove trees form. It is an interesting fact that mangrove forests need fresh water for their initial formation, but once their roots are formed, they settle in salt water from the sea. Mangrove forests grow in the sea and on the seashore, they are excellent wave breakers, because the waves hitting the mangrove roots break and prevent the sea from raging.

Mangrove forests are a great refuge for birds that nest here and hide from the hot sun. You can see a variety of birds - from bright blue, black or white wings that cover the bushes before sunset.

Mangroves are loved by camels and sea turtles, which, especially in summer, come to nibble on mangrove leaves. One side of the leaf of mangrove forest trees is green, it is needed for photosynthesis and oxygen production, and the other side is saturated with salt, thus the salinity of the sea is extracted, and salt is especially needed by animals in summer.

The place is also important for fish, they come here to spawn and leave their eggs, thus new life is born.

Crabs are king, they are a force here, but you can't catch them, because they are particularly nimble.

Mangroves are plants that need special protection, so it is important not to step on or break them while walking and observing the shoots that are still growing.

You just need to enter the Neringa Hotel and take the lift to the fifth floor.The best way to spend the sun in the city is at the cosy rooftop bar. The Neringa rooftop bar is a great place to enjoy the last rays of the sun and a beautiful view of the city. The rooftop bar has two large outdoor terraces and 1 covered terrace. On a sunny day the best option is to sit outside. I recommend trying the cocktails they will definitely brighten up your evening. The open terrace is the best option to enjoy the sunset and see the iconic places of Vilnius from here you can see the old church skyscrapers opera theatre and even the Gediminas Tower. If it's rainy or overcast you can still enjoy the view. Take a seat on the covered terrace. Order some hot drinks. If you get cold you can take a plaid which is available on the terrace. Vilnius is beautiful in any weather. From the rooftop you can see the bell tower we were in today.

The activity level is of moderate difficulty, as the coral reefs are close to the shore, and even non-swimmers (with safety vests, of course) can don a mask to see the stunning underwater beauty of the Red Sea: coral reefs, fish, etc. I recommend wearing snorkeling shoes to avoid injury from the coral reefs near the shore. Swimming and snorkeling are possible for children, but adult supervision is recommended.

If you prefer to walk along the seafront, the activity level is moderate, but as you will be walking partly on a sandy shore and partly on the water, it is recommended that you wear rubber shoes or slippers.

The coral reefs are close to the shore, so even beginner divers will have a great opportunity to get to know the underwater world of the Red Sea by observing the colourful coral reefs and marine life. If you are going on your own, it is recommended that you bring diving equipment, wetsuits and life jackets in winter, and swimming trunks. Stopping at the Salt Lake, we recommend wading into the water. The activity can be described as moderate difficulty, and while wading, it's advisable to wear rubber footwear or to walk carefully without shoes as the lake bottom is slippery, but it is great to feel the effects of the warm and hot currents of water coming from the ground. 

The Salt Lake is a thermal body of water and it is not recommended to spend more than 15 minutes in the water at a time. 

The water level is shallow near the shore, but it gets deeper as you go along, so if you have younger children in the water, we recommend that you supervise them.

Salt Lake is a closed body of water, it was named after the "Salt" lake because of the abundant salt crystals in it. The salinity of this lake is even seven times higher than the salinity of the Red Sea water and is as much as 280 grams per 1 liter. 

The surface area of the salt lake is 50 thousand. m2, water spreads through porous columns (limestone fragments and sandstone) and also flows through cracks between the "Hidden" bay and the lake. The continuous process of evaporation exceeds the increase in salinity of the lake, and although the water level in the lake is affected by the movement of the tides, it appears dry during the hot summer. 

There are organisms in the lake that have effectively adapted to extremely salty conditions, such as Artemia sp. and some halophytes that grow on the edge of the lake and some species of birds that stop there to feed on worms and some of the tiny organisms that live around the lake.

Stopping at the Earth Fissure allows you to view the fissure by walking around it, with activity ranging from easy to moderate difficulty. The area is sandy and somewhat hilly, but with comfortable footwear, navigating the terrain should not pose any significant challenges.

Stopping at the Hidden Bay Cove, the activity level is of moderate difficulty. The cove has a sandy bottom with no coral reefs, but to make walking more comfortable, it's recommended to wear rubber footwear. Those who wish can also swim, but please note that the water is from the Red Sea, and there are no changing rooms or showers available upon exiting the shore.

It is a narrow open fissure, a crack dating back thousands of years. The fissure was not visible until 1968, when an earthquake hit the surface and the fissure opened. The length of the channel is about 42 m, the width is 0.2-2 m, the water depth is about 14 m. The rift is connected to the sea through underground narrow channels that cause the water level to rise and fall with the tides. Some species of animals have adapted to live in such specific conditions, such as the blind red shrimp, some mollusks and algae.

"Hidden Bay" or "Maldives in Egypt" - is a small bay connected to the Red Sea. On the south side, the water is so shallow that even the bottom remains completely undisturbed during low tide. Due to this phenomenon, most of the bay is invisible to the sea, which is probably why the bay got its name. 

Another version of the origin of the name of the "Hidden" bay is that this bay is not visible from photographs taken from space. 

The Bay is formed by salt springs, the concentration of salt in it is similar to the waters of the Dead Sea. This bay is characterized by a sandy bottom with no corals, making it a great place for swimming.

Another unique feature of Lake Hiden Bay is that the water is partially desalinated, as the lake is fed by underground freshwater springs, which may be the reason why the water is colder, even on a hot day.

The hidden bay stretches for 1.9 km and is 300 m wide, and the colour of the water, depending on the time of day and the light, ranges from bright emerald to dark blue - it looks like the real Maldives.
