The Kretinga Culture Center is a place where you can frequently hear the maestro's music. The musical contributions of Maestro Aloyzas Žilys are extensive. Aloyzas Žilys is a choir conductor, expert teacher, and composer. These are just some of the activities that the maestro engages in. Aloyzas Žilys has created more than a thousand works for children's and adult choirs, ensembles, soloists, and children's performances. He actively participates in musical activities such as choir festivals, song festivals, and arranging works. He compiled a collection of Lithuanian folk songs titled "Žaliam berže."
Since June 23, 2015, the maestro has organized the Lithuanian Aloyzai Assemblies, which are sacred music festivals in Kretinga titled "Aloyzai Lietuvoje - Lietuvai." He is a member of evaluation committees for reviews, competitions, and festivals, and a participant, conductor, and director in national and international choir festivals, as well as in national and World Lithuanian Song Festivals with his ensembles.
Aloyzas Žilys is an active public figure: he is a member of the Lithuanian Music Teachers Association Council, the Lithuanian Choir Union, the Kretinga District Cultural Center Council, the Lithuanian Musicians' Union, the club "Kretingos krašto ainiai," and the Society of Bishop M. Valančius. He is also the president of the "Žilvinas" club of the Palanga Sea Riflemen’s Union Choir.
For his active creative work, Aloyzas Žilys has been awarded letters of appreciation from the Kretinga District Municipality, the Lithuanian Folk Culture Centre, the Ministry of Culture, and the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union. In 1982, he received the Mark of the Art Self-Entertainment, in 1985, the Mark of Culture, and in 1995, the medal of the Order of the Rifle Star for his services to Lithuania and the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union. In 2009, he was awarded the Culture and Art Prize by the Kretinga District Municipality. In 2011, he was voted Man of the Year by the readers of the newspaper "Pajūrio naujienos" in Kretinga district. In 2016, at the Pedagogues' Celebration, he received the nomination "Promoter of Community" for spreading musical culture at school, in the district, and nationally, as well as the prize of the Education Department of the Kretinga District Municipality Administration "Flying on the wings of his vocation." He has also received acknowledgments from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania (2016) and the President of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania (2017). In 2019, he was granted the status of an artist.

The villas of Palanga captivate with their authenticity and enchanting beauty. Today, you can count more than 20 of them. Each villa has its own unique history. The villas of Šilelis, Ramybė or Pelėda are the ones that make you pay attention. One of the masterpieces of Palanga's resort architecture is the late 19th-early 20th century villa "The Eye of the Sea", which belonged to the mother of Count Felix Tiškevičius, Sophia. The Swiss-style villa has two floors with an attic, a mezzanine and an open gabled porch. Today, the first floor of the Sea Eye villa has a café and the second floor has three apartments. Each room has its own name: the first one is called "The Eye of the Sea", the second one is called "The Count", and the third one is introduced to guests as "The Lover". Legend has it that the mistress of Count Felix Tiškevičius lived here.

The tour also features the café KUKUDRA, where its owner and long-time nurturer shares the café's history and presents its dishes. Here, you can taste traditional Žemaitija dishes. One of the oldest villas is built in 1870 by the Tyszkiewicz family. In 1897, Count Tyszkiewicz built magnificent palaces near the Baltic Sea, now housing a museum. The building's project was designed by Franz Heinrich Schwechten (1841–1924), a German architect living in Berlin. The park was designed by French landscape architect Edouard François André (1840–1911). The palace is located in the sacred Palanga Birutė Forest, home to a beautiful botanical park.
